The aircraft heading from Saint Petersburg to Yerevan failed to land at the Zvartnots international airport on February 1. It was forced to land at Shirak airport in Gyumri, whereas the plane heading from Mineralnye Vody had to fly back.

Spokesman for “Armenia-International Airports” company Gevorg Abarahamyan said the snow-clearing machinery is operating constantly to keep the runaway open in wintry weather. The visibility is moderate and takeoffs and landings are allowed.
