The U.S. Treasury blacklisted 6 citizens and 5 companies from Iran and Turkey for rendering financial assistance to missile industry of the Islamic Republic.
The statement says assistance was provided to Iranian Aerospace Industries Organization, which oversees all of Iran’s missile industries, CNN Turk reported. Companies have facilitated over $7 million in transactions for the industry in 2007-2008. In particular steel, aluminum and equipment was supplied.
U.S. citizens and companies are banned from establishing trade ties with the blacklisted companies. Assets of the mentioned companies may be frozen in the American banks. The statement mentions tree citizens and two companies with offices in Istanbul.
