Azerbaijan, Turkey and Greece agreed to sign a new agreement allowing supplies of Azerbaijani gas to Greece without Turkey’s mediation, Azerbaijani industry minister said.

Following the signing of the protocol at the third meeting of the Azerbaijani-Greek intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, Natig Aliyev said 700 million cubic meters of gas is presently supplied to Greece. However, the commission decided to sign a contract directly between Greece and Azerbaijan.

At present Azerbaijani gas is supplied to Turkey by Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum pipeline from Shah Deniz field.
