The MPs of the Heritage parliamentary group suggested amending National Assembly’s law on procedure to introduce online broadcasting of the parliament sessions through the official website of the National Assembly (www.parliament.am).
According to MPs, the move will strengthen principles of the Armenian parliament, which are based on political pluralism, open discussion of issues and collective decision. “The bill should be adopted to provide transparency and openness of the Armenian parliament,” the statement says.
”Parliaments of the U.S., Latin America and Europe and many other states use network resources and broadcast meetings, thereby ensuring transparency and publicity of the legislative process,” party’s statement reads.
