At its February 8 sitting, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) decided to raise the annual refinancing rate up to 7.75%.

The CBA press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that 2.8% inflation was registered in Armenia this January, the annual inflation rate being 10.6%.

The CBA Board believes that the problems facing the key actors in the international food and raw materials markets, as well as high prices resultant from declining demand for agricultural products, fuel inflation.

Although the recovering domestic demand is not forming inflation risks, the economic tendencies and higher inflation expectations pose new inflation risks.
