“It is common knowledge that, when Armenian President, Robert Kocharyan was in control of the RPA ticket,” Anahit Bakhshyan, a member of the Heritage parliamentary faction, told journalists, commenting on Robert Kocharyan`s statement that he was in control of the party ticket when he was Armenian President.

“And let the RPA not try to distance itself from Robert Kocharyan now. When he was Armenian President RPA members` position was not even slightly different from Robert Kocharyan`s position. Under Robert Kocharyan`s presidency he was the most righteous, most powerful – the very best for the RPA. Now, however, the RPA is trying to distance itself from Robert Kocharyan because they do not need him any more. Another political figure is the very best for them now,” Bakhshyan said.

“But if the RPA has the courage to admit its blunders – blunders it committed with Robert Kocharyan – I can say the party unites men worthy of that name,” Bakhshyan said.
