On February 9, Secretary of Armenian National Security Council (NSC) Arthur Baghdasaryan met with Daphne Gogou, an official of the Directorate General for Justice, Freedom and Security at the European Commission.

The EU Ambassador Raul de Luzenberger also attended the meeting, NSC press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Issues related to the preparations of simplification of visa regime between Armenia the EU were discussed during the meeting. The European experts stressed talks with Armenia will soon start, which will consist of 3-4 stages.

The agreements on simplification will set easy and quick visa getting procedures for official delegations, businessmen, students, scientific workers, reporters, participants of international sport events, etc.
