On September 19, 2009 at 7:06 a.m. local time 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck Indonesian island of Bali, Associated Press reports. The earth shocks created a sudden panic among the population. Hundreds of panic-stricken tourists fled their houses and hotels, seven people got hurt as a result.

According to the Meteorological Agency of Indonesia, no tsunami warning was issued. The quake epicenter was at the depth of 71.6 kilometers, 40 km south-east of Denpasar, capital of the island.
