Russia welcomes the positive trends in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), told the aforesaid to reporters, Russian News Agency TASS reported.

“Now it is important to develop them [trends] and not to undermine [them] with imprudent rhetoric, which, sadly, also is recently voiced,” she added. “We [Russia], for our part, will provide assistance to all those positive trends.”

On September 27, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov had met within the framework of the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly in New York. And the parties had agreed to continue the Karabakh peace talks next month.
