Eight earthquakes were registered in the region as of February 3-9, national seismic service told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
On February 3, a 3-magnitude quake struck Turkey (19 km far from the city of Van). The next day tremors measuring 3 on the Richter scale were registered 31 km far from the Azerbaijani city of Gyanja.
On February 5 and 7 minor earthquakes hit the Georgian cities of Dmanisi and Kobuleti.
On February 8, another 3-magnitude quake was registered 20 km north-east from the Armenian city of Gyumri. The same day a quake measuring 5 in the epicenter struck Turkey, 21 km far from the city of Van.
