The ArmRusgasprom Company has not applied to the Public Services Regulatory Commission for a rise in gas price, Commission Chairman Robert Nazaryan stated in Parliament.

“Even if the negotiations over the Russian gas exported to Armenia are completed tomorrow, the gas prices will be revised after April 1,” he said. Nazaryan pointed out that the price for electric energy will remain unchanged.

Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan raised the issue of consumer rights. He proposed amendments to the relevant laws. In response, Nazaryan said that a committee has been set up to consider citizens’ complaints.
