The Iranian Government has developed a new comprehensive plan to improve the control and security along the borders. This was stated by Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar.

According to him, the new plan was applied along the north-western and eastern borders of the country, and will be fully implemented along the entire border of Iran in the near future.

He said that the ninth government has increased the expenditures allocated to border security 17 times as compared to previous administrations, PressTV reported.

Earlier in January, Mohammad-Najjar held talks with senior officials of Oman on strengthening of security measures and improve bilateral cooperation.
