Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will speak on four basic points of Armenia-Turkey normalization process in the course of the UN General Assembly Session in New York, Turkish Hurriyet daily reports, specifying:

1. Karabakh conflict. OSCE Minsk Group

Presently, Armenia-Turkey-Azerbaijan trilateral meeting is not on the agenda of Ankara in New York. Turkey hopes for an important step to be taken towards the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement “occupied” by Armenia. Once Ankara gets an alert on liberation of Azerbaijani territories “occupied” by Armenia, it will consent to hold a trilateral meeting in New York.

2. October 12 signatures

Turkey is ready to sign the Protocols October 12, 2009 at the latest. Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu will sign the Protocols in Bern, Switzerland, as this country is a mediator between Yerevan-Ankara negotiations.

3. Serzh Sargsyan to visit Bursa

Ankara considers, after the decisive steps by the two countries, the barrier to Serzh Sargysan’s visit to Turkey will be obviated.

4. Joint sub-commission of historians

The sub-commission mentioned in Protocols should not comprise solely Armenian and Turkish historians. American, French and Swiss historians also to be included.
