Over the next five years, we need to considerably develop the military industry complex of Armenia.

Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Sunday stated the aforesaid during his talk with the residents of Yeghegnadzor town, and within the framework of the My Step alliance’s campaign rallies for the upcoming snap parliamentary election in the country.

“We will pay special attention to the output of military industry, high-tech products,” Pashinyan said. “And we hope that, in the coming years, we will succeed in turning this branch into the ‘locomotive’ of Armenia’s economy.

“The security of Armenia and Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] will be absolute and uttermost priority to us.”

In his words, the respective intellectual capital exists in Armenia.

“Today there are enterprises in Armenia that can meet the order placed by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” the acting PM said. “And we hope we will be able to ensure huge development and bring new investments here. And it’s very important that we be able to truly turn Armenia into a technological country.”
