Thousands of Egyptians gathered on February 18 in the center of Cairo to participate in prayer and festive demonstration marking the first week after Hosni Mubarak’s resignation, Interfax reported referring to Al Jazeera.
Opposition forces heading 18-day long protests called the day the “Friday of Victory and Continuation”. The opposition supporters have announced they will hold a “victory march” wearing white.
Hosni Mubarak, who has been ruling Egypt for 30 years, resigned on February 11.
