The King of Bahrain ordered his son to start negotiations with all oppositional forces.
Bahrain’s Crown Prince Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa is authorized to realize all expectations and hopes of the people of Bahrain, he said in a televised speech. The order issued by King Hamad bin Isa al- Khalifa contains no mention of mass unrests which have broke out since February 14. The Crown Prince stressed negotiations should be held in a calm atmosphere.
Sunnis are ruling the country with a major Shiit population. According to Russian Kommersant daily, opposition refused to cooperate.
Bahrain, a small country in the Persian Gulf, has a tiny Armenian community. The number of Armenians who came to Manama mainly from Syria and Lebanon is around 50.
