The Prosperous Armenia Party will not stand in the way of implementation of the coalition memorandum, Aram Safaryan, Secretary of the PAP parliamentary faction, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The party put its signature to the document without any hidden motives and will remain committed to it as long as the political reasons for it remain. “We will never stand in the way of implementation of the memorandum,” Safaryan said.

Armenian News-NEWS.am reminds readers the coalition agreement envisages the three ruling forces’ joint participation in the 2012 parliamentary elections and the support for a common candidate in the 2013 presidential election. However, some points of the document caused misinterpretations. Some political figures concluded that under the new coalition agreement the three parties are obliged to run for parliament with a mixed ticket.
