Sculptor David Bejanyan, the father of Emmy who will represent Armenia in Eurovision – 2011 passed away at dawn on February 21.

David Bejanyan’s name has become better known because of the statue of Arno Babajanyan which is installed near Swan Lake in the center of Yerevan. The statue caused widespread dissatisfaction among the public.

Note that in the first semifinal, Emmy will perform with Mihran, on May 10. Sequential number of Emmy’s performances will be disclosed on March 10 during a meeting of heads of delegations. Note that the 56th International Song Contest “Eurovision – 2011” will be held in Dusseldorf, Germany, May10 - 14. The competition will be attended by 43 States.
