The irreconcilable fight against corruption will continue, Armenia's National Security Service director Artur Vanetsyan said on Thursday.
His remark came at the ceremonial meeting dedicated to the Day of the security agencies’ employee and the 100th anniversary of the creation of the security agencies.
According to him, studies have shown that corruption was pyramid-shaped in many government agencies.
Corruption undermines the security of the state, has a negative impact on the activities of state bodies, as well as on the image of the country, he added.
According to evidence obtained from 30 cases, Armenian budget was damaged for over 20 billion drams, he said adddinf that much of these funds have been restored.
“It is therefore not an exaggeration to say that war has been declared against corruption, and we have already achieved some success,” the NSS head noted.
