Up to now one citizen of Armenia contacted the Armenian Embassy in Egypt from Libya, spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Office Tigran Balayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Man’s name is not disclosed for security reasons. It is revealed that a man was working in Libya.
Tigran Balayan stressed that foreign office keeps in touch with the embassies in the Middle East.
Riots in Benghazi are ongoing from February 15. Protesters are demanding the overthrow of the Muammar Gaddafi, who runs the country for over 40 years. According to the Human Rights Watch, the death toll has risen to at least 233.
