Armenian Educational and Cultural Society “Hamazgayin” organizes concerts in Boston, Inglewood, and in Washington, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
This performance series, held under the auspices of His Excellency, Tatoul Markaryan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United States, will feature the “Element” Bandfrom California along with welcoming performances by local groups.
In particular, dance ensembles of the Armenian Church of St. Thomas and St. Sarkis, and a children’s choir “Aregak” will take part in the concerts, Wickedlocal.com reports.
”Element” Band’s greatest aspiration has been to apply new styles and innovation to musical traditions. Under the direction of Ara Dabandjian, the band’s music has met that challenge, in the process immediately gaining a unique identity. Orchestra combines rock music with traditional Armenian, French, Spanish, Bulgarian, Italian, Portuguese, Greek music.
