On March 10, the Armenian Parliament will hold hearings on the situation in the Armenian armed forces and on bills on external and internal disciplinary regulations of the Armed Forces. The hearings will be attended by foreign experts, Hrayr Karapetyan, Chairman of Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs,  Armenian Parliament,  told  at a round table “Protection of human rights in the army” on February 22.

Karapetyan stressed the necessity for the creation of military Ombudsman’s institution. In this regard, Spokesman for Armenian Defense Ministry David Karapetyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent that the issue is being discussed and the Defense Ministry has not yet made a decision on the matter.
