On February 22, Ambassador of Sovereign Order of Malta to Armenia Jean-Michel Oughourlian presented his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.

Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the new post and wished him success in his mission, the presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Ambassador stressed as the only knight of Sovereign Military Order of Malta of Armenian origin, it a great honor to him to assume the post of the Ambassador and develop programs in Armenia.

“We are proud that Armenian by origin has assumed such a high position.  I am sure your Armenian origin will facilitate your activities in Armenia,” the President emphasized. Serzh Sargsyan expressed confidence that the Ambassador’s activities will contribute to raising public awareness on Sovereign Order of Malta.
