On February 22, at a joint sitting of the Boards of the Ministry of Economy and Union of Manufacturers (Employers) and Businessmen (UMBA) of Armenia businessmen informed Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan of their position on the Government`s economic policy.

Most of the businessmen expressed their discontent with the deferral of VAT on imported investment goods. Some of the businessmen believe that the rate, 300 million AMD, does not allow small and medium businesses to benefit from the deferral. "This tax benefit dopes not at all promote investments," said the Parliament member and businessman Areg Ghukasyan.

In his turn, Minister Davtya said that, to get tax benefits, businessmen have to produce a list of all investment goods.
