Nine people received injuries of varying severity from fireworks explosions in Strasbourg in the north-east of France on New Year's Eve, TASS reported quoting Europe 1.

The injured were hospitalized with burns and injuries, some had temporary deafness.

According to the representative of the medical institution, the firecrackers were not bought in special stores.
