Some dairy products have been rising in price in Yerevan for the last few days.

Armenian News-NEWS.am turned to producers for explanations. Armen Janvelyan, Director of the Arzni Company, said that the company has not yet raised its prices, but the cost of production has risen. The company`s prices for milk products first of all depend on the prices for fodder, which have risen 40% over the last year.

Tatevik Hakobyan, Deputy Director, Marianna Company, said that, after operating in the red for a few months, the company had to raise prices. Quality control is one of the reasons. "We use only butter in our production. It has risen in price just as other products and fuel. The company explained in detail the reasons for raising prices to the Commission for Protection of Economic Competition," she said.
