Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received on Thursday outgoing EU envoy for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby.
“I believe our relations and political dialogue strengthened, due to your efforts as well, since you have received a mandate of EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus,” Serzh Sargsyan said.
Speaking of the work carried out during his tenure, Semneby pointed out the 2009 decision to launch talks on association agreement with the three South Caucasian states. He deems this document predetermines Armenia’s fate on her way to European integration, presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
