The Russian Rostvertol Company has not confirmed information about supplying Azerbaijan with Mi-35 helicopters. Talking to RFE/RL correspondent company’s representative refused to officially confirm the reports.

Meanwhile the Azerbaijani press reported today the Rostvertol Company and Azerbaijan signed a contract last year providing for the delivery of 24 Mi-35 helicopters.

Mi-35 is designed for destroying armored vehicles, supporting the infantry, evacuating the injured, and transporting cargoes.
