The outcome of Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents’ meeting in Sochi on March 5 “will depend on Yerevan’s position,” Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said.

“In January, we held a meeting at the level of foreign ministers. Some questions remained open at that meeting. It was agreed that discussions on these open questions will be conducted at the presidential level,” he said.

According to him, co-chair countries are also interested in supporting solutions to the conflict, Trend News reports.

“For this, Armenia should withdraw its troops from occupied Azerbaijani territories,” he said.

“”t is yet too early to say what agreements we can reach. Reaching progress at this meeting depends on Armenia’s position,” he said. The minister regarded the meeting itself as a positive signal.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported previously, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev in St Petersburg on February 25. The officials discussed Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution along with other issues.
