Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan and incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan have real disagreements, which is quite natural, Richard Giragosian, Head of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies (ACNIS) told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Such disagreements between the ex- and incumbent leaders are natural for all countries. Russia is the only exception: the ex-president Vladimir Putin was appointed Premiers, after the ex-premier Dmitry Medvedev was elected President. They continued their teamwork. However, even the two political figures time and again have disagreements, which are deepening, the expert said.

Giragosian considers Robert Kocharyan’s return to power impossible. Serzh Sargsyan is strengthening its positions as Armenian President day after day, while Robert Kocharyan is more often called the EX-president, the expert said. It is a natural process for all countries, Giragosian said.
