Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will visit Iran on March 7, Spokesman for the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan Abbas Isgandari said.

Mammadyarov will attend the 8th session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, Trend News reports.

Co-chairmen of the intergovernmental commission are Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi.

The previous meeting of the commission was held in March 2008 in Baku.
