YEREVAN.- The position of the Armenian government over Karabakh conflict settlement has not changed during the recent months, Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan said today, speaking at the NA-Government Q&A.

'There are assessments that Armenia has toughened its position in the negotiation process of NK conflict settlement, but I can say that Armenia's position has not change. If you remember at the very beginning we said that we will act according to the situation,” the PM stressed.

He said that earlier at the NA he made an unprecedented statement, saying that Karabakh conflict settlement must be acceptable for Armenia, Artsakh and Azerbaijan.

"We understand quite well that this was not an easy announcement. I made this announcement with the aim to create a normal negotiation atmosphere, and in fact, Armenia has made the first step on this path, hoping to hear analogous announcements from the Azerbaijani side. But unfortunately, up till now we do not hear such announcements from the Azerbaijani side, and vide the versa, they regularly make announcements that make clear that the Azerbaijani authorities do not even think that any solution of NK conflict should be acceptable for the people of Artsakh and Armenia, and in this situation we remain faithful to our position – act according to the situation', Pashinyan said.

“For making the negotiations effective we must have effective format of negotiations which we had in 1994 when Nagorno Karabakh was a full participating side at the negotiations, and now we will do everything for this format to restore, of course, in the sidelines of the OSCE Minsk Group,” Pashinyan said.
