Adviser to the president of Artsakh David Babayan is not ruling out setting up a free trade area in Karabakh.

Speaking during a live stream on Facebook, Babayan said they had been approached by the Diaspora representatives on the matter.

“Free trade areas are very important for the development, of course. We have definitely to think about it. But, as a first move we can think about agricultural parks, preferences for the villagers and entrepreneurs for the development of   traditionally important areas for Artsakh economy. Free trade areas have to be targeted at attracting the Armenian [businessmen] first, and secondly foreigners,” he said.
