For the first time ever, U.S. military attaches accredited in Moscow haven’t shown up to the briefing that Head of the Defense Committee of the State Duma Vladimir Shamanov is holding on Monday, reports RIA Novosti.

“No, they didn’t come. This is the first time. However, there had been an invitation,” Shamanov told journalists, responding to the question as to whether the U.S. attaches had shown up to the briefing or not.

Earlier, Shamanov had told journalists that on Monday he was going to hold a briefing with military attaches accredited in Moscow and that the briefing was going to be devoted to certain issues related to the global situation, including the state of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty and U.S.-NATO relations. The event has gathered nearly 150 representatives of about 90 countries.
