The closed session of the parliamentary faction of the My Step Alliance was devoted to the MPs’ recent visit to Nagorno-Karabakh. This is what head of the My Step faction Lilit Makunts told journalists following the faction’s closed session at the National Assembly on 1 April.

Moreover, she recalled that the members of the faction regularly hold different kinds of meetings in parliament. “In this case, as a delegation, we informed our colleagues about what had taken place and provided details about our meetings in Stepanakert,” Makunts clarified.

The head of the faction stressed that what was extremely important was the fact that the faction’s members were in Karabakh on the day of the meeting of Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Vienna. “I am glad that our visit to Karabakh coincided with the meeting of Pashinyan and Aliyev. We were scheduled to meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, members of the standing parliamentary committees, as well as the President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic,” the MP stated.

According to Makunts, the faction’s members managed to reach agreements on several issues, particularly the future activities of the representatives of the standing parliamentary committees of both parliaments.
