YEREVAN. – There is noything strange in the statement by Armenian Defense Minister, head of Hay Dat office on political Giro Manoyan told reporters.

He was asked to comment on Defense Minister's sattement saying “lands for peace” principle will be changed into “new war for new lands’ in case of new aggression by Azerbaijan.

The statement made by Tonoyan just as the remark by the head of National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan made in Karabakh, were expected as they are in charge of security, ARF Dashnaktsutyun member said.

“They cannot play “diplomacy”. It is important that they did not try to avoid such statements. Not less important is that they did not face negative reaction from PM Nikol Pashinyan,” he said.

Manoyan said these statements were heard in Baku, as Tonoyan demonstrated them that “lands for peace” formula which was voiced during the presidency of Levon Ter-Petrosyan is not relevant.
