Armenia has always stood out by its strong intellectual school, the executive director of the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises Nikolay Komlev told reporters on Wednesday.

According to him, the development of the IT sphere is promoted by the business itself, which is investing in the industry through non-return investments.

Touching upon the IT Summit to be held in Yerevan on April 4-5, Komlev noted that the Association has been holding conferences since 2003, mainly in Russia, Belarus, Georgia, and Ukraine. The conference is held in Armenia for the second time. About 200 people will take part in it, including the participation of the Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies of Armenia.

“The aim of the conference is to discuss the prospects of IT business, increase the effectiveness of Armenian and Russian measures to support the industry, exchange experiences, while the prospects for the interpenetration will be discussed,” he concluded.

As reported earlier, Yerevan will host on April 4-5 a summit with the participation of world leaders in the IT industry - Intel Corporation, Skolkovo Foundation, Marvel Distribution, Dell EMC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, ABBYY, IBM, Kaspersky Lab , Yandex, etc.
