I positively assess the statement of the defense minister of Armenia on reformulating the “territories for peace” principle as “new war for new territories”. This is what Deputy of the Bright Armenia faction Gevorg Gorgisyan told journalists on 3 April.

He stated that it is quite logical, and if Armenia wants war, it has to be ready for war.

“This approach doesn’t contradict the process of negotiations. On the contrary, it helps make the negotiations effective. Any adversary tries to benefit from the opponent’s weakness. The main idea of the defense minister’s statement is that Armenia is not weak,” the MP emphasized.

He clarified that there is no propaganda for xenophobia in Armenia.

“Armenia doesn’t declare assassins as heroes. We don’t need to prepare for peace. In a country where xenophobia is propagandized, the society can’t be ready for peace. This is what Aliyev has to think about,” the MP concluded.
