Armenia pursues the most transparent foreign policy, Tigran Samvelyan, head of the European Department of the Armenian MFA, said in Yerevan on Thursday at a conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the EU Eastern Partnership.

According to him, Armenia, being both a member of the Eurasian Economic Union and a member of the European Partnership, is ready to become a bridge between the partners.

“All the parties involved expressed interest in this opportunity,” he noted adding that the Armenian side held numerous meetings with Russian colleagues, during which the country explained its position on the need to deepen relations with European states.

He assured that cooperation with the EU is not directed against anyone, including Russia.

Touching upon the expected reforms under the Armenia-EU deal, Tigran Samvelyan noted that they are aimed at modernizing various fields of public life.
