On 5 April, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the opening of the exhibition called “The Shape of Color: From Renaissance to Rococo” at the National Gallery of Armenia. The event was organized by the Embassy of Italy in Armenia.
As reported the press service of the Prime Minister, according to Armenian News-NEWS.am, the exhibition was held under the high patronage of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and was attended by members of the governments and parliaments of Italy and Armenia and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Armenia.
In his welcoming remarks, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan particularly stated the following:
“I would like to express my deep gratitude to Ambassador of Italy, Mr. Vincenzo del Monaco for promoting the cultural dialogue between our two countries and peoples through this exhibition. I deem it necessary to mention that this exhibition is not a unique cultural event in Armenia since, with this exhibition, the embassy is continuing the incessant tradition of presenting Italian culture to the public of Armenia in various formats. Thus, I welcome the efforts that you are making and your predecessors have made as Italy’s ambassadors to Armenia.
The history of the state relations, friendship and cultural influences of the Italian and Armenian nations is rich and traces back to centuries, and so, in addition to this exhibition and similar events, our two countries are also actively working on the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage.
From Cilician Armenia to Venice and St. Lazar Island, several mundane and spiritual figures have thoroughly and unquestionably exalted the Armenian-Italian relations.
It is with this feeling that, once again, we congratulate and express gratitude to the organizers of the exhibition for presenting the exceptional works of the geniuses of the school of Venice to our public.”
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan toured the galleries and was introduced to the exhibited works.
