Price growth of 0.1% was registered in the Armenian consumer market in March compared with February, which was mainly due to a rise in prices of 0.6% for non-food products.

According to the National Statistical Committee, the prices for food and alcohol for the specified period decreased by 0.1%.

In January-March 2019, inflation was 0.9%, which is 0.1% higher than the figure for the previous year.

In March 2019, in comparison with March 2018, the price growth amounted to 1.9%, including for food, alcohol and cigarettes. In the consumer market, prices rose by 1.9%, in the food market by 3.5%, for non-food products by 0.9%, for services by 0.1%, and in comparison with March-February 2019 and 2018 - 1.5 %, 2.6%, 0.8% and 0.4%.
