We don’t accept European values that contradict the national values of Armenians. This is what former MP Aragats Akhoyan said during the protest held in front of the parliament building on 8 April.

According to him, when he was in parliament, he would support integration processes, including with Western organizations, but he would always go against reforms that could detriment national values. “We are against the overt propaganda of the LGBT movement,” he added.

Citizens are holding a protest in defense of national values in front of the National Assembly of Armenia. The participants are expressing their indignation with the speech by transgender Lilit Martirosyan in parliament.
