U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Monday that he will remove Secret Service director Randolph “Tex” Alles from his position, Reuters reported.

The announcement came a day after Trump fired Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.

The immediate decree on the dismissal of Alles was given to  Mick Mulvaney, the Office of Management and Budget director.

As the Associated Press reported, later the White House confirmed this information, announcing that  James Murray, a career Secret Service agent, would take over the agency in May.
