I can’t let anyone think that any mass media outlet can be politically persecuted. This is what Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said during a question-and-answer session with government officials at the National Assembly on 17 April, responding to the question of leader of Bright Armenia Party and head of the political party’s parliamentary faction Edmon Marukyan. According to him, there can’t be any opportunity for that in practice. Edmon Marukyan had asked about the incident connected to Gala TV of Armenia’s Shirak Province, and in response, the Prime Minister promised to become familiar with the incident and then give an answer.
