The Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University (RAU) is preparing for a festival of French song, a contest between higher schools. The festival has been held since 2009, on the university’s initiative, with the sponsorship of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, the RAU press service told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The festival is scheduled for mid-April. Leading Armenian higher schools are to take part in the festival, with each of them to present several French songs composed over the past decade. The jury will be composed of well-known Armenian musicians. The winner will receive the Grand Prix, a two-week trip to France.
