The authorities of Baku banned opposition rally organized by Musavat party on Saturday but activists intend to gather for an unauthorized meeting, Interfax reports.
Arif Hajili, head of the central executive board of Musavat, told RFE’RL, they will call for democratic reforms, release of political prisoners, early parliamentary election and an end to corruption.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, youth activists created “March 11 – Great People’s Day in Azerbaijan” group on Facebook.
After reports on “Day of Rage” five activists were arrested.
