Over 2.000 bodies have been found on two shores in Miyagi Prefecture following a 9-matgnitude massive earthquake and tsunami, Kyodo news agency reports.

Earlier mass media reported of 1.351 killed. About 4.500 people are missing following Friday’s devastating quake, RBK reports.

The death toll in Miyagi prefecture may increase 10.000.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, on March 11, the biggest earthquake (9 magnitude) in the recent years hit the northeast of Japan, triggering a 10-meter tsunami and followed by several powerful aftershocks. The epicenter is located 373 to north-east from Japan’s capital, Tokyo at the depth of 24 kilometers.
