Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has come to realize that the socio-economic situation is becoming critical in Armenia, and tendencies to a popular outbreak are evident, Aram Karapetyan, Chairman of the New Times party, told journalists March 14.

Amid the worsening socio-economic situation in the country, the President`s latest statement was "to the point." However, the statement must be put into practice. "The authorities do not deny the situation is extremely critical. However, one thing to hear statements about it, and another thing to take concrete steps top improve the situation. But I think the President will not resort to large-scale action this time either," Karapetyan said. Although the Armenian authorities are now paying more attention to the Opposition`s assessments, they do not propose a dialogue, but act as they consider necessary.

Armenian News-NEWS.am reminds readers that a few days ago, President Serzh Sargsyan invited Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and a number of ministers to discuss the critical socio-economic situation in Armenia. He issued instructions to improve the situation.
