A third explosion rocked the No 2 reactor of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear complex on Tuesday morning. According to Japan’s Nuclear Industrial Safety Agency, the blast was heard at 6:10 a.m. No other details are available, RIA Novosti reports.

The blast occurred near the suppression pool in the reactor’s containment vessel. The pool was found to have a failure.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, on March 11, the biggest earthquake (9 magnitude) in the recent years hit the northeast of Japan, triggering a 10-meter tsunami and followed by several powerful aftershocks. The epicenter is located 373 to north-east from Japan’s capital, Tokyo at the depth of 24 kilometers.  The death toll may reach 10.000.
