On March 14, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad held a telephone conversation. The officials discussed bilateral economic and political cooperation.

Russia is set to complete all work on putting the first Iranian nuclear power plant in Bushehr into operation. The whole process is under strict control by the IAEA.

The construction of a nuclear power plant in Bushehr lasted over 30 years and ended in 2010. Previously it was assumed that the Bushehr NPP will be put into operation on April 9, Rosbalt reports.
